Cookin' up a storm on New Years Eve

Ok so it's like Hurricane Hilda out here. The wind's blowing so hard the wicked witch of the west has been hammered off course and is somewhere over Milton Keynes.

To save our sanity and cook up a meal to delight comes our friend Kumud, and she found us all without using Prat Nav (that's where you either ring up lost or ask to be found). Su and Kumud made a feast for us to enjoy.

Here's some photos of the cracking nosh, my fav Dhokla too. Wow.

High in the Sky

Found the MSN maps.live.com website the other day. The image is above where we live, looking at the old WWII RAF base below.

Crazy OKGO guys

Take a look at this!

Tree Tencious II

Ding Dong the tree is dead(ish), maybe, the other Christmas tree looked a bit crispy so here's the new one. Even more lovely than the last one says Su. It may be winter but with the fire roaring in the hearth, it's enough to dry your eyeballs and it is.

A little bit of winter......

Su's obsession with seedheads and especially cow parsley, continues to make journeys on the lanes around our home more interesting. These two are frozen!

How tree-tentious

This is our tree this year.
I wonder if we'll be able to top this one for the
pretentious award.

Merry Christmas

Been a bit Arty Farty...

Being the arty farty types comes in handy sometimes, coz we get to meet nice people from around the world that share our passion for art and fab artist types.

We spent the day yesterday working with Kaori Tatebayashi, Japanese ceramisist, learning about slump moulding and using stencils and slips. Her work is fantastic, the tableware is very simple, yet very effective and she was a great teacher.

Photos show what we did!!! More once they've been fired and we've got them back.

And as the Angels gathered, the Christmas Prawn appeared

Cromer, Norfolk. Odd place but we went anyway. Just check out the funky Christmas lights - the Christmas prawn is real.

Poster from OZ

Imagine our shock at the poster we found.
at Koala Peninsula, not that far from
Airlee Beach.

It's not all sweetness and light...

Me thinks that they should stay as pups.
A face that only his mother could love.
Mind you they're abandoned quite early on!

More Seals

Another cutie.
There's loads all over the shore.

Who's Donna Nook then?
