Let's go fly a kite!

Andy's 40th birthday a couple of weeks ago meant that he got some ace pressies, one of which was an enormous wing-type kite from our friends Jim and Tim.

Although it's been ideal weather for most of the week, it's been: a) too dark by the time we get home, b) a bit too scarey with the 90 mph winds and c) today it's been just right (© Goldilocks).

Blooming heck was it fun, Andy dived for cover when it crashed to the ground right next to him - I was in control, I got wrapped up in the kite and together we had shed loads of fun. Cheers guys, good exercise too.

A January Bike Ride

A lovely ride, although my legs are now feeling a little wobbly. We have today seen the first lambs of the year. Isn't it a bit early?

Oh Happy Days

As it's so bloomin' horrible today, here's something from our fab holiday to Oz from 2006.

Barn Storming

Living on farmland means we get to see some pretty amazing wildlife. The population of Barn Owls is doing pretty well here and on one occasion we managed to stand and see 8 hunting around us, never mind what the lady from the Raptor Society says, we saw them! Look carefully at the images and you can see the owl's brekkie move from beak to talons!
